As I like DI guns, I like this idea. What I don’t like is that you have to remove the BCG to make the changes. I’m sure the engineering may be too much to over come but, why not have the switch on the ported side?

What happens when you run the gun with the BCG set for suppressed and no suppressor? Will it still cycle?
Could this same effect be positioned somewhere else in the gas system?

    Inquiring minds want to know!

I think having the switch over to the ported side is definitely possible. You could use a design similar to the aftermarket adjustable gas plugs for M1 Garands, theoretically.

I also think that whether or not the gun will cycle if you use the suppressed settings without a can depends on other things like the gas port size, ammo used, and buffer weight. I would imagine the gun would still cycle if the user is shooting mil-spec ammo and the gun has only a carbine buffer, because it would be overgassed to begin with…

What I would like to know is how reliable this bolt carrier is compared to regular mil-spec carriers.

Dammit. I know it was a “short” review but was hoping for something a bit more than this. Cleanliness? Gas face? Recoil? He touched on the recoil but wanted a lot more than that. The waiting continues.
