SHOT Show 17 – Gemtech Lunar -45

The Lunar-45 from Gemtech is a full-auto rated modular suppressor billed as “…the lightest and quietest modular 45 caliber silencer available that is able to be completely taken apart and cleaned.” Crafted from 7075 aluminum and titanium, the Lunar-45 can be configured into a 8.5″ long or 6.9″ short profile, and a variety of available mounting options will allow the Lunar-45 to be utilized with a multitude of weapons and calibers. The Lunar-45 features a high temperature black Cerakote finish, and comes with a .578-28 mount.

Gemtech tested the Lunar-45 mounted on a Dan Wesson Discretion 1911 using 230gr FMJ, and found when ran dry it produced a sound report of 129dB in the long configuration and 136dB in the short configuration. Solid numbers, and if real world results mimic performance found during testing, Genentech will have an excellent new product in their suppressor line.

GEMTECH 5.56 Suppressed Bolt Carrier Receives NTOA Member Tested and Recommended Stamp of Approval

Boise, ID (December 6, 2016) GEMTECH World-Class Silencer is proud to announce that our Suppressed Bolt Carrier (SBC) has been member tested and recommended by the National Tactical Police Officers Association. The SBC received an astounding rating of 4.96 out of a possible 5 rating. One testing member in Washington had this to say “A shooter/agency can invest a lot of time and money “tuning” suppressed rifles and the Gemtech 5.56 Suppressed Bolt Carrier appears to do away with those issues”.

The GEMTECH Suppressed Bolt Carrier is a drop in solution for over gassed suppressed weapons, especially short barreled rifles. The SBC is already in use with several agencies around the country and this NTOA approval just proves how effective this product is.

Gemtech Announces Derek Smith as Director of New Product Development

Derek comes to Gemtech with several years of industry and silencer experience from companies such as Nightforce Optics and Advanced Armament Corp. Derek continued his silencer knowledge and skill set at Silencer Shop as the Director of Distribution Sales. He was an integral part of making them the largest and most advanced silencer distributor in the country.
