New from Arc’teryx LEAF for 2015 is the Enhanced Combat Uniform.
Consisting of an Assault Shirt, Assault Pant and Recce Shirt, Arc’teryx has started from scratch, completely revamping their combat uniform offering. With Arc’teryx I expect to see a synthesis of material and design and this uniform is just that. Combining wearability and utility, the clothing moves with the body and features pockets that are patterned to lie flat, contain contents comfortably and not interfere with each other or other equipment.
Manufactured from No Melt/No Drip materials, sizes XS – XXL and offered in Black, Crocodile, Wolf and MultiCam.

Only possible advantage over Crye is Wolf Grey
don’t underestimate crocodile its a pretty neat color
this thing is far more durable my friend
And fit. Fit is key and sometimes will be solely responsible for the decision between one piece and the next.
Wonder what the damage to my wallet would be for these.
The prices are significantly less expensive than the Sphinx uniform of the past. Kind of makes me wonder if they made cost effectiveness a priority in addition to fit and design. I’m sure the lack of Tweave Durastretch helps in the cost department but the Sphinx seemed very well received with the exception of the cost.
obviously a soft-shell combat suit is more expensive, especially in camo, pretty self explanatory.
Materials make a lot of difference in cost.
Materials make ALL the difference. Tweave is like the most expensive fabric aside from the Golden Fleece Hercules was sent to fetch.
I handled these at SHOT and though I didn’t get a chance to try them on yet they appear to be a great uniform piece that ends up somewhere between Talos and Sphinx in terms of features and perceived “awesome”.
Also available in Ranger Green.
These items come with knee and elbow soft inserts which makes them more in the same price range as Crye (mil/leo pricing).
