I hear SIG SAUER received some very good news today, so congratulations are in order for the performance of their .300 blk MCX ‘Black Mamba’.
Sounds like all that hard work paid off. Feels good to be recognized as #1, doesn’t it? I see a big future for that gun and this is the first win of many.

What happened?
Sir, can we get a hint?
When they release an official announcement I’ll be happy to share.
LVAW?
Yes, Low-Visibility Assault Weapon
ASSAULT?!?!? OMG! Writing my Congressman. Seriously though, I could see a non-MIL entity refusing to purchase a weapon with that moniker.
That’s why it’s called an MCX.
Any time line on the public announcement?
I hope soon. Due to my previous employment with the US military and certain contractual obligations, I’m leery of divulging more on my own.
Understood
Did they get the new army contract?
Wishful thinking, but not sensible thinking.
Yes that’s great BUT when will .300 be on the shelves again??
When you chop up your 223 brass and roll your own.
+1
My LGS got in 20+ cases of the cheap Remington subs two and a half weeks ago, and they’re still in stock. It’s the first time I’ve seen this ammo since sometime last year though.
Still, they’ve had the Gemtech 187 grain subs in stock fairly consistently in the interim.
Let me guess. Selected as the new service weapon for agents of the ATF?
No, different part of the US Government.
The State department!? 😀
Secret Service would be my bet.
and you would be wrong.
I would say “nobody likes a tease” but we would not be here.
Nothing to brag about :0
^I see what you did there
The Coast Guard could put these to good use. 300 aac would be a nice fit in a long arm utilized in boarding parties
Why even post this unless you can tell us whats going on? Reminds me of the little kid routine of I know something you dont.
^it was only a matter of time before this guy showed up

USSOCOM Selection at bragg
It’s pretty obvious the MCX just got selected to be France’s next military rifle.
Don’t think so, French published proceedings schedule, and tests are supposed to last at least to December 2016.
Hmm, maybe HSI?
