NRAAM 2015 – Ergo Grip KeyMod Forward Rail

Ergo Grip’s KeyMod Forward Rail locks into place around the barrel in the front sight triangle.
It’s obvious they are listening to the Army as they’re offering access to the bayonet lug along with enhanced rail space. Also available in Picatinny Rail spec. Seen here with rail cover and barricade stop.

  1. AbnMedOps says:

+1 on access to the bayonet lug! Many scoff, but there will again come occasions when the bayonet turns the tide and wins the day. (Google Lew Millet)

And while we’re at it, before we go completely disco with some of these weird shaped new rifle/carbine stocks, consider if they facilitate a well-applied vertical or horizontal buttstroke. Also, consider if that cool skeletonized plastic stock provides a convenient handle for an opponent to grab your weapon. Aside from use in the lethal fight, sometimes this physical stuff can keep a nasty crowd-control situation from having to go lethal, as experienced by some units in the early stages of Iraq.
