#KCRF Giveaway

It’s the last day of May but already feels like summer, so how about a giveaway?

Mojo Tactical just released two new variant of the Keep Calm Return Fire logo patch in Black/Glow-in-the-dark and Black/Grey.  We’d like to give these, along with an original Blood Red patch, to a lucky reader. We’d also like to include some KCRF stickers from Tactical Distributors.

More gear (packs, place carriers, etc.)

  2. DDustin says:

Love the new and future weapons tech articles. Especially the grunt related stuff like the iron man program, new weapons, camo or other gear.

  3. Chloro says:

    Hands on weapons reviews

  4. Sven says:

Keep doing what your doing; don’t change a thing, except an increase in the quantity of posts.

  5. Spikepillow says:

Morning, I’d like SSD to create more polls on various topics so we can see at a glance what other people think about certain pieces of gear and discussions.

  6. Dan S says:

I’d like to see more reports on stuff that the military is testing. Like the camo conundrum with OCP/UCP. Other than that, perfect balance of content you have here.

  7. Chase says:

More Cowbell! Otherwise, it is by far my favorite website.

  8. Brc says:

More training related posts as well as more infor on gear like rucks sleeping bags, stoves that kinda stuff. Things that cross the line between military and enthusiast life styles.

  9. Scubasteve says:

Maybe add some cyber-tactical articles, from a red teaming point of view.

  10. Ab5olut3zero says:

As I’m Armor, I would like to see any news concerning armored vehicle platform enhancements, any acquisitions information, fielding schedules of new equipment, things like that. For instance, the M1-A3 has been in the works for a few years now, but has been delayed by funding and various other reasons. Anything you hear and can report on, I would like to read. Otherwise, keep up the good work across the board- gear reviews, training, etc.

  11. Colin says:

As many have stated, if it aint broke don’t fix it, but maybe more field craft and employment of the equipment would be nice. For instance I lost a pouch in the field the over the winter, and had completely forgot that there was a time when I 550 corded every piece of kit.

  12. Jon Vandiveer says:

I like the format and current coverage. Keep up the good work!

  13. Gandolph says:

    Keep on keepin’ on, E.

  14. Brad Kerby says:

Would like to see a crossover to equipment, etc. for law enforcement.

  15. BM says:

    Don’t change a thing!

  16. Bearded Swede says:

I really like the balance of content that is provided on SSD. Reviews, interviews, sneak peaks, etc. Just keep doing what you do!

  17. Brett says:

More brutally honest gear reviews from actual field service would be nice, to get the users perspective on how new gear and equipment actually works in the real world. SSD is mostly awesome the way it is!

  18. Sean says:

Keep doing what you are doing, but I like the suggestions of more training videos and interviews with industry insiders.

  19. David says:

I love your coverage of everything in the Pipe Hitters world. Maybe a little review of some of the great equipment you feature. Nothing in depth, just your general opinion.

  20. Vic says:

Visits to gear manufacturers with interviews with founder/owner and some personell on “why they do what they do” would be neat.

  21. J says:

I love seeing new gear, more articles with links to the latest and greatest. Thank you,

  22. J says:

I love seeing new gear, more articles with links to the latest and greatest. Thank you,

(duplicate post, but this one includes the correct email.)

  23. Goose says:

More gear reviews. When I’m looking for a new piece of kit this is the first place I go.

  24. Ian says:

Thanks for all the great content. Keep it going!

  25. Riceball says:

I like all the gear reviews, however, I’d like to see more reviews of lower cost gear for those of us who can’t afford/justify the expense of the pricier gear that’s often reviewed here.

  26. cimg says:

how about some more firearms/light weapons history and innovations. THE rifle pic/article was nice as are LAV’s articles and input.

  27. alex says:

I would like to see more coverage on the small shop gear makers. Maybe a once a week thing where you highlight a different company or product. I was lucky enough to get mentioned once, and it brought in a ton of new customers.

  28. Philip says:

I’d like to see more stories from the field. And, under categories, listings for each of the services (instead of just the Air Force).

  29. Rabbit556 says:

Keep the good news coming, perhaps more reviews on the gear in addition to the previews of the new goodies.

  30. Connectors says:

    Connectors, connectors, connectors…

The devil’s in the details, how many of us have arrived to work and found that thing A couldn’t connect to thing B because the plug was wrong ? I would like to see SSD start discussions on what connectors are out there, both electrical (for example: U-329/U 6 Pin Female, U-328/U 6 Pin Male) and physical (for example: molex or AustriAlpin COBRA) across all related domains, US Military, NATO, non-NATO contries, domestic LE, federal LE, Amateur Radio, EMS/hospitals, et al.

Maybe focus on one connector per week ? link to the specs, but call out where&how it’s be used (for example: headset to radio, solar to battery, rigger’s belt to aircraft) I’d really like it if the readership would then be encouraged to chime in with their experiences, both good and bad related to the connector being discussed. Ways they had to hack them up, or good adapter kit they carry in case they have to hack them together (for example a small set of alligator clips, buck/boost, and a mini-multimeter for charging off an odd US Military DC source)

    just my 2 cents…

  31. Chris says:

I would like to see “kickstarter” type products that this coummunity would be interested in and could possible help with backing. Soldiers (all branches) have some great ideas on how to solve a problem but have no means to get it off the ground.

  32. Chris says:

I would love to see more articles on training courses by geography/state.

    Thanks,
    Chris

  33. David says:

I love your site and visit daily. I think more reviews of equipment and guns would be great. Nothing in depth, just a general no shit opinion of whether it’s good or not.

    • David says:

Not trying to enter twice. I didn’t see my first entry and thought it didn’t go through. My sincerest apologies.

  34. Danger23 says:

Great site as is and a daily read for me…..I would like to see more Gear and firearm reviews.

  35. Ray says:

SSD is amazing as is. I literally stalk and check it everyday, tho I haven’t had enough personal experience or knowledge to give input on most topics on the simple fact the the amount and quality of information that everyone gives is outstanding. kinda hard to compete with that heh.

Tho I personally would like to see more medical information. SSD has always given me amazing information about all the high speed gear and fresh military news but I would love to have more info on any military medical stuff also. I’m a National Guard 68W and I always try to share what i find here with my unit so having more medical information would really be amazing.

  36. Brendan Smith says:

I love the history pieces about old school gear and how it was used. More of that would be educational and help continue to inspire innovative thinking.

  37. sacRyan says:

video reviews of some of the gear / equipment – AND – continuing the good work you do.

  38. O'Neil says:

I am grateful for SSD. I am a armed citizen who has great respect for our military and LE personnel. Keep up the great work. I always enjoy the gunfighter moments and articles and videos that show our military and LE guys in action. Gear review are always good too as I have seen it here on SSD first and went out an bought it.

  39. Chris says:

I would add more articles on upcoming products that would be useful but need our backing via kickstarter or other site. SOldiers have great ideas to solve a problem but dont have the means to pursue.

  40. Whiskey Bravo says:

I love this site and come to it everyday. If I could add anything it would be more articles on: highlights on little known Military Units,Task Forces, SAR Teams, Fire and Rescue related gear articles, Military/LEO/Fire Fighting Fitness developments, CBRNE,HAZMAT, Disaster response gear related articles. Other than that keep up the great work that you already do!

  41. Daryle says:

I’d like to see more EDC ideas, gear, kit for when you are not on duty.

  42. straps says:

More editorial rigor on the stuff that makes posting. We’re talking .01%, identifiable by the flack language.

The stuff that matters (OCP) demonstrates editorial effort appropriate to the magnitude of the issue discussed, and 99.9% of what makes mention here is superior to 100% of this site’s competitors.

And you need to persuade Mojo to do some runs of KCRF patches in Tan.

  43. Daryle says:

I’d like to see some EDC items. Gear (knives, lights, etc.),reviews, pro advice. I figure you do a good job on everything else, so you’d blow this away.

  44. Chris says:

I love everything you do but maybe you could dedicate more coverage to international affairs and the reduction in defense spending and impact on procurement (especially Canadian Forces, mostly for me)

  45. chris says:

I would like to see more head to head tests of gear. Basic comparisons of various items can be very helpful when picking out your personal kit.

  46. Grady says:

Keep up the kit reviews and Mil news!

  47. Brian says:

I would love to see more reviews on gear directed towards the law enforcement crowd. But I would love one of these patches!

  48. Preston says:

I really enjoy reading SSD, but I would like to see more of the throwback posts about old military kit and uniforms.

  49. Airborne_fister says:

I love the site. I just wish it was mobile friendly.

  50. Paralyzed veterans first dance says:

What if there was a how to. As in how to do an 80% lower into a full lower. Or build an upper. Or something awesome like that.
