I wish duck hunter camo would be the next retro cool pattern to come on the market.

It’s already on the market. Nike is one of the those banking on this pattern currently.

As far as being retro cool, thanks but no, thanks 😉

Reenactors sites have a lot of it in herringbone twill.

I’ve been tempted lately to buy a few pieces and get them re tailored to be more contemporary looking like a pair of shorts for just wearing around town.

That guy on the right has a real “I will eat your soul for breakfast.” stare going on.

  3. Rotorhd says:

    Nice white “Speed Racer” helmet.

With concerns of head shots, white helmets didn’t last long in the early Vietnam years.

What is this picture of? A USO tour? I am very curious of the dude in camo. What is that pattern called?

  5. Gus says:

A young Vinnie Jones on the left.

My dad used to say that the Air Commandos could wear a beret (grey is the color he mentioned) in addition to the Jungle Jim hat. That’s the first picture of one I’ve seen. Thanks for the pic!

The uniform of the one sitting on the globe is pretty badass. Is that some sort of OOD sash?

The guy in the camp in wearing a USMC P44 uniform. They were first seen on Saipan late in the war. They must have had a lot left over because you see them being used by the USMC, USAF and even the French Foreign Legion right up to the early to mid sixties.

Is that John Leguizamo on the right?!
