FirstSpear Friday Focus – Forager Cap LP And Independence Day Offer

FS_ForagerHat_2387

FirstSpear’s Low Profile Forager Cap is just as feature-rich and functional as the larger Standard Size Forager, but with a .5″ reduction at all points and all the corresponding bulk removed. In layman’s terms, the Low Profile cap is more like a ballcap when compared to the Standard cap, which is analogous to a Patrol Cap.

The Low Profile Forager Cap is available in Black, Coyote, and MultiCam.

  1. Isn’t this a remake of the WWII german hat? I love First Spear, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I know what you mean but it’s just piece of hat. An oversized patrol cap.
I think you’re bit of oversensitive. No one promoting Nazism or fascism here.

    • SSD says:

It’s not a remake of a WWII German hat. Perhaps you should go do a little research on that style of cap. They are still in use to do by Germany as well as several other European countries.

As for the Forager, the design is strikingly different.

    • bulldog76 says:

the german field hat M 43 is based of the mountain troops aka Gebirgsjäger hat used waaaaaaaaaaaay before ww2

    • Riceball says:

Then how do you feel about the old PSGT Kevlar helmets then? They bore a resemblance to the old German Stahlhelm used during WWII, did those also leave a bad taste in your mouth?

    • IGOR says:

all he’s trying to say is this cap is FUGLY. Just because it comes from a reputable brand doesn’t mean it’s stylish. Furthermore…. German association or not, its not a baseball cap. might as well wear a three point

    • m5 says:

At least it isn’t a baseball cap!

But if you find it too much nazi, perhaps you should consider a genuine German fieldcap of the Bundeswehr? That’s guaranteed non-nazi. There’s no First Amendment in Germany, you could end up in jail for wearing the wrong hat.

  2. Claudandus says:

Why? It s a great design in my opinion….

  3. Dellis says:

Bought 2 of the larger caps, nice caps and great for range days or just out and about, especially the larger size bill for keeping sun glare down.

I’ll get one of the smaller caps also. As for being a cap resembling one associated with Nazi Germany…I take it we should now ban VW’s??

  4. orly? says:

    Please say no to velcro…

    • mike says:

      “No to velcro”

      Now what?

    • Dellis says:

It’s not velcro! Rather it’s a microfiber type material which makes a great backdrop for those who use the provided eyewear frame holders located on the cap.

  5. T says:

I really like that sunglasses retainer feature. Now for more Multicam patterns…

  6. Craig says:

    I think they’re pretty neat.

Look around, what’s old,is new again, plus, a good design is a good design.

  7. JW says:

I like FS gear. Not going to lie however, I get tired of their obsessive branding. Between this and their kydex holster, they go overboard.

  8. Mick says:

someone posted on another board that this is produced overseas? Any word on that?

  9. Creed says:

I received my low profile forager cap today. The material and construction of this cap is first class. The mesh material allows air flow to cool your head and keep the cap light weight. The bill is split down the middle to allow the cap to fold and stash easily. I also really liked how you adjusted the size of the cap by sliding a clip through a loop. If you rock this hot you will probably be the only person you ever see wearing it cause while its very unique looking it also is not flattering to the wearer.
