FN 15 1776

Designed as an entry level carbine, the FN 15 1776 was just released. The video looks like it was a lot of fun to make.

I gotta say, it’s not a very subtle ‘fuck you’ from the Belgians when they play the anthem of the European Union in a 4th of July ad.

    • Strike-Hold says:

      That’s Beethoven’s 9th Symphony – not the EU anthem.

    • Sean says:

You do realise that there were European nations allied with America right? Including something like 12,000 French troops? It wasn’t America vs. Europe, it was America vs. Britain. Why shouldn’t a Belgian company celebrate their own country a little by using Beethoven’s 9th, while also celebrating the American freedoms which allow you to buy their rifles?

If its a ‘fuck you’, its a pretty damn friendly one.

So, no provision for a front sight, to each their own

  4. Chris says:

No front sight. No provision for a front sight. Do manufacturers just throw darts at random components on a wall to decide what makes it on their guns? Im beyond disappointed that FN would produce something with the thought process of a DPMS rifle…

  5. BravoMike says:

Wow…sorry to say this, FN, but…FAIL.

Should start out by saying after X number of years making the M4 and M16 series of rifles for the US Gov….we lost our contract. Now I know it likely got much better construction materials but that set up is straight out of the 2001 Bushmaster Catologue. I still have one lying around somewhere. The 5×9 news print one they used back in the day. I was really hoping to see something midlength with maybe a standard front site. A solid carbine on its own or a great set of base components for a build..

So FNH makes a en entry level rifle marketed for first time buyers or perhaps less experienced shooters who might want this rifle…

And a bunch of more experienced shooters who already own higher end rifles are here to tell them how much they suck.

And the music reminded me of the first Die Hard movie. Yeah, FNH was definitely saying “fuck you” to their customer base. *Yippie Ki Yea eyeroll.

Yeah, what you said. It’s like rider’s of huge motorcycles sneering at people who ride midsize bikes.

    Better buy Colt!

What is wrong with the marketing departments at ALL of these companies? The ads are consistently terrible. From Glock’s ‘confidence’ to all the tactical claptrap and now this. How about some solid video that 1) doesn’t look like it’s produced by a college freshman with 2) honest, straightforward, non-patronizing content that exhibits the product and exclaims the integrity of the company producing it. Shouldn’t be rocket science for gun companies, they have so much material to draw from for a tasteful ad. Instead they show some tool shooting in the middle of his campsite with his daughter. FML

If only someone made aftermarket iron sights for the AR platform…oh, wait, there’s about 5,000…

What this means to me is that I can recommend FN as a reputable manufacturer with a model at a price point that budget strapped agencies and officers can afford.

    How about some ear protection?
