Ares Gear is actively seeking a new Chief Operating Officer to direct operations and assist in determining the future direction of our rapidly growing business.
Position Description:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a member of the Ares Gear executive management team, and will facilitate, direct, and coordinate operational activities and programs relative to the day-to-day operations of Ares Gear. The COO will be responsible for:
· Understanding the vision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and taking the lead in executing that vision.
· Working in partnership with the CEO to develop and implement organizational goals and policies that maintain and enhance the Ares Gear culture.
· Developing, planning, and directing all aspects of Ares Gear’s operations, objectives, and initiatives to ensure future growth.
· Performing a variety of tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
· Leading and directing the work of others.
· Overseeing human resource management.
· Working with sales, production, and shipping operations to plan and execute short- and long-term financial and operational goals.
The preferred candidate will be a bright, seasoned and highly qualified individual whose experience includes strategic/operational innovation and business relationship building.
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
· Experience with proven management/leadership/ personal management achievements
· Entrepreneurial, project management and creative problem solving skills are essential
· Proven track record of building effective business relationships, excellent negotiating, coaching and interpersonal skills
· Excellent grasp of written and spoken English
· Demonstrable understanding of technology (i.e. Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, etc.)
· Exceptional analytical, financial, and management skills
· Able to effectively keep multiple initiatives on track
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Results oriented and bottom-line focused / able to work towards long term goals
· Able to commit to and follow initiatives through to completion with limited supervision
· Strong business acumen / professional attitude
· Team player / Mentally Flexible
· Manufacturing experience a plus
