SilencerCo just released this 80s-inspired pseudo-parody of Miami Vice which shows off their new Maxim 9 integrally suppressed pistol.
They’ve also released this limited edition Maxim 9 short sleeve t-shirt.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!
The 80s theme reminds me of Kung Fury…..
the liberals will have a field day with this.
“that silencer helped him shoot a crowd of men with assault weapons, it’s got to be stopped!”
Has anyone had any hands on with this? I’m wondering how unbalanced this thing is? I mean I guess it won’t be any different than my silenced Glocks. I was just wondering. Also. Is kydex the only way we are going to see a holster for it?
His retort to “any last words” should’ve been; “What do you say we play a little Bangkok rules? (pulls out ear pro) Nobody draws until this hits the ground.”
It reminds me of the dressed up M12’s from the first Total Recall movie.
Silencerco has *hands down* the best marketing team in the industry.
How so? I saw a short video that took elements from popular Netflix (Kung Fury) and Comedy Central (Moonbeam City) media, and just mixed them up in a blender. Was it funny? Sure, but in a “holy crap my eyes are bleeding it’s so bad” kind of way.
Because they pay close attention to detail in not only their products, but in every aspect of their marketing efforts (including but not limited to: social media, website, cutsheets, apparel, endorsements, ads, promotions, etc.).
I’d agree that the video isn’t all that funny, but its an important facet to their overall market presence and possibly a re-engagement point for future conversions or brand loyalty.
Fair enough. Their engagement is top notch, but I find their promotional media to be hit or miss. More often than not their imagery and video projects make me want to laugh at the brand than take them seriously.
I see where you’re coming from. There can sometimes be a lack of consistency in the brand’s ‘voice’. That being said, I DO appreciate how they are taking a more ‘mainstream’ approach then the tired “I’m a tactical badass and this product is battle proven #OAF!” hahaha
I thought that video was terrible. Sophomoric and uninspired. I think SilencerCo needs to rethink its marketing strategy and get back to where it was two years ago. I would put their marketing team as one of the worst in the industry myself. Great products but they need to get back on track.
