Is multicam fabric that expensive?
Solid-color puffin blankets are less than half the price of this ($170 for multicam, $80 for solid color.
Printed fabric is more expensive. I am unsure if they had to custom print a fabric or if they used a stock fabric. If it had to be printed, there would be minimum yardage.
Not for the soldier on the go huh? By the looks of it puffins pack pretty large and you got no ability to cinch that. Guess it’s one of those “Look cool tacticool” blankets for the civilian. Looks comfy though.
It doesn’t seem that big… It says pack size is like 15″ X 7″ diameter which is around the size of the sleeping system, I’m sure it can be stuff in Ziploc Vacuum bag and get smaller (hell that what I do with all my gear in my ruck now anyways, stays dry and can compress pretty small).
Looks like an interesting option to the kifaru woobie.
eh woobie just sounds better than puffin
Love Nemo.
I just came back from a camping trip through western US. And I slept each night on a Nemo air mattress that was incredibly comfortable.
