A Hori Hori is a hand tool, often used for gardening. It offers both serrated and straight blades as well as a twine cutter and bottle opener. The reverse of the stainless steel blade has inch depth marks and is concave shaped for use as a rudimentary digging tool. The handle is bamboo and topped off with a steel pommel which can be used as to pound.

That looks like a rather nice version of the Hori Hori. I’ve seen some rather cheaply made ones now and then.
I’m not seeing any mention of a sheath (on the website), however. That’s a pity.
They’ve got a sheath, but it’s very rudimentary.
Might be time to take up leatherworking as a hobby.
The knife retails for like $30. The sheath might be $10 more.
Or play around with trying to make your own kydex sheath.
You had me at “bottle opener”.
SSD,
You should tag this EOD as well. I’m always questing for a better digging knife. The price and the bottle opener are both great selling points for techs, since we are always getting drunk and losing shit. Also way manlier than other hori hori knives I’ve seen.
It’s steel. Is that going to be an issue?
