Altama listened to wearers of the classic US military jungle boot. As they worked to improve the boot, they concentrated in materials and kept the classic design. The resulting Jungle II boot improves areas of water absorption, puncture resistance, and comfort. They worked with US leather tanneries to significantly reduce the amount of water that is absorbed through the leather and replaced the steel plate with PunctureX material so now it covers the whole foot without any gaps. They also created a cushion-like midsole through a unique Dual Density Rubber (DDR) lasting. This process allows them to keep the rigid outsole but add comfort to the foot.
This video shows how it’s done.
So far I’ve seen Black and OD. Hoping for a Coyote model.

Welcome back, Panama sole.
I miss my old OD Jungles. Best boot we ever were issued.
Cool video. I heart good boots!
It’s not likely to happen, but it would be cool to see these with leather in Salomon’s new Burro color.
This is awesome, I love everything about the original jungle boots except for the all eyelet lacing system.
They lost me with the speed laces.
Eric, didn’t I see a couple of coyote models in the video? Keepin’ the dream alive!
I’ll know on Tuesday!
If they don’t do an OCP compliant color, they’re idiots. I’d love going back to jungles for summer wear.
I agree.
So where do I send my money? black and OD please..
