Looks like the defogging fans are having some difficulty dealing with the heat and moisture.

    The Tech inside is not.

  7. Riceball says:

Somebody should make this a regular event, either for EODs all over to participate in or provide similar suits for civies to use in a similar event. I bet you that there are enough adventurous people out there who are looking for the next big challenge since mud runs and military style obstacle courses became popular.

Mad props, I pray its freaking cold that day and/or he’s got a quality micro-climate suit or he’ll overheat. At the very least they need to rig up some telemetry to make sure his core temp doesn’t go over. Lot of guys who do this stuff are amazing, but also much more likely to push themselves past the breaking point because they just don’t quit. Be safe and best of luck!

I think most people forget that Navy EOD is part of Navy Spec Ops, and their techs go through an initial training pipeline similar to Navy SEALs.

Fellow EOD Warrior. I did this last year at the Sydney Half Marathon raising money for AUS ‘Home for Hereos’ – it is nails, I respect you, I salute you, good luck with the training.
Be interested to see what time you get – we could make it an annual challenge!!!
    Best wishes,
