Consisting of a clamshell-style case, transport cubes, control panel and compression straps, these options allow you to configure your load for this very well appointed piece of luggage.
It’s made from high quality materials. Made from VX-21 Ripstop Shell, VX-03 Lining and Hypalon Synthetic Rubber. The VX family of fabrics is quite common for luggage. As you can see from the specs below, it’s got plenty of room for travel.

These photos depict the transport cubes (airflow, viewport and defender). There is also a control panel which is a PALS compatible insert. Both of these categories of accessories are available in various sizes offering plenty of options to customize your bag. Additionally, it includes a non-slip, ergonomic shoulder strap as well as tubular nylon carry handles. The Meridian Transport Case is designed to fit under an airline seat as well as in overhead bins, even on regional aircraft.
Released last week, it’s seen brisk sales, in spite of its price tag. I know it’s hard for a lot of people to wrap their heads around, but these were Made in the USA and that’s just not cheap. Granted, a few of the materials are foreign sourced, but the assembly was done here.
The color is Satin, Matte but it looks like Black to me.

$425. Makes the RE Factor ASO bag look like a bargain.
They have finally crossed the LD for affordability. At some point you have to sit back and see what you actually get for your money. As mentioned above RE factor puts out a similar USA made bag for half the price with arguably more functionality.
The RE Factor ASO bag, while quite nice, is not the same. Go take a look at luggage, and not the shit you buy at Walmart. This pricing isn’t outlandish at all for Made in USA luggage.
I can’t speak for RE Factor, but I know from experience with TAD that you are also paying for their awesome customer service- they stand behind everything they make. For example, I bought a pair of their Force 10 AC pants a few years ago. Well over a year later, I ripped them sliding down a boulder on a hike near Zion. I sent the pants in and explained what happened (they were ripped through abuse, not a manufacturing problem), expecting to pay some sort of repair fee and return shipping. Not so. They fixed them up, good as new, and returned them at no cost to me. And they did it pretty quickly. You just don’t get service like that from any of the “budget tactical” companies. So is $425 a lot for a bag? Yes. Is it worth it? It’s not worth going in debt over, but if it fills a need and you can afford it, I think it is. I’ve never regretted anything I’ve ever purchased from them.
