    Shorts …. sure!
    What is just as crazy (perhaps more), is our soldiers and marines NOT wearing shorts during the summer!!
    Granted, I served in a different military during the late eighties in Africa … rugby shorts, Sambas and nutria t-shirts was our staple.
    ….. OK, OK there was some chest-webbing involved too with a bush-hat to top it off.

    I’ll be camping with my Cub Scouts this weekend and you can guarantee I’ll be in shorts! Already had some light snow today in parts of the New Forest, it’s gonna be a cold one – but that just means I’ll have to build a bigger fire!
