Outdoor Research – Swift Cap in MultiCam

I spied this new MultiCam variant of Outdoor Research’s Swift Cap a few weeks ago, but reader Mark F just reminded me about it.

It’s a simple, runner’s cap design with MultiCam print Supplex crown and printed lightweight nylon mesh side panels for those hot days.

Hopefully, we’ll see some more stuff soon in MultiCam printed Supplex.

Love this material and always good to see what OR does in the military market. That’s a smooth looking hat, too!

From what I can see the underside of the brim is light in color. Never understood why hat manufacturers do this on hats intended for active use outdoors. The light color reflects back into your eyes under bright conditions.

The underside appears to be green or MC…

It is green. I just looked at mine.

I guess I should have said, it is far better for light reflection if the underside is black rather than green/MC/etc. Far easier on the eyes in bright conditions. I won’t buy any running hat that has a non-black underside of the brim.

I’ve krylon’d more than one hat for that reason. I wish Crye would make their velcro brimmed hat in more colors.
