During my recent visit to the 2017 National Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, I got to check out some of the military support to the quadrennial event. On hand was the US Army Special Operations Recruiting Battalion with their Special Operations Semi.
Inside were multiple simulators to give participants a taste of military skills.
Additionally, SORB gave away the various components of this patch set throughout the day.

A scout jamboree is a smart place to try and recruit the kind of talent SF is looking for. Would have loved to score that patch set back when I was in. Good stuff.
SSD- Even though EOD isn’t Special Operations Per-se, they used to be aligned with the SOF recruiting battalion. Did EOD have a display at the jamboree?
I did not see one.
Thanks for the follow up SSD.
Which service’s EOD? Navy EOD is the only SOF capable one.
Joe- No, that’s not true. Navy EOD is under Fleet and has been since at least 2010 when I graduated school. Army EOD routinely aligns companies with SF groups as well as sends individual teams as attachments to SOF. There is also a dedicated company that serves the Ranger Regiment.
While EOD IS NOT SOF, their recruiter was co-located with the Psyops recruiters at Bragg for as long as I can remember (at least 2005), but I don’t know if they are still there or not.
wow… how great is that… they did not have that when I was in… !
