Anyone carry one of these (or older model) in their car kit? I know you can get ‘used’ ones of government auction sites and just replace the battery pack.

I’ve debated it, but feel it would be a legal balance between potentially saving a life or getting sued for keeping someone alive until medical personnel arrived.

AEDs take all the guess work out of to use or not to use. If your state has good Samaritan laws then you’re good. Be advised the batteries are not cheap , last one I ordered was a couple hundred dollars.

IMHO; just learn how to provide effective CPR. We don’t even teach “mouth-to-mouth” to the lay public anymore. Just pump the chest 100-120 times a minute until EMS arrives.

Forgot to add that no court in the land would find you guilty of trying to save someone’s life using CPR . . . as long as you do what you’ve been trained to do.
