Hi SSD,
Need help identifying this rifle attachment. Have a 10k run and gun coming up and I’m looking for one of these for myself and my wife.
Here’s your chance to help put a follow SSD reader. What do you think it is?
511 tactical

That was fast.
Yup, that’s it. Tin Eye is a pretty good way to track down photos of gear, especially when it’s a manufacturer’s photo.
God’s Grace, Right time, Right place. Glad I could help.
Luke,
I am not sure, my first thought would of been Mystery Ranch but I am almost positive that is not the case. On a side note, what is the name of and where is this run and gun? That is a scene I want to break into and I am trying to learn who and where these are so I can start planning these out between deployments. Cheers.
Thanks guys
Run and Guns/”trekkers” are very new and very ‘outlaw’ so information can be difficult to find. They are not advertised outside of closed fb groups and sell out quick. Here’s a link to a few of them: http://www.okrunngun.com/other-run–n-guns
There is a bit of crossover from adventure racing and practical shooting sports.
Luke,
I wasn’t going to say anything, but since you posted the OK link… I won that event a few years ago when I managed to be home long enough to attend it. There are better ways to carry a rifle and run a 10K than to strap it in a pack. I think it depends on how competitive and how comfortable you want to be. As always, YMMV. Good luck to you, they are fun.
What ways are best? What did you use?
Check out Competition Dynamics. They run bad ass events. Last weekend was the SAC, and the teams went 50 some miles in 36 hrs. In 2 weeks, they have the Team Challenge with less than 3 miles.
FYI, Hill People Gear just released a padded rifle bucket for attachment to their packs. Just another option to consider.
That oldschool magpul stock though
Ergo makes them now. Could be new.
5.11 has one.
