The Guard is an AR-15 pattern pistol caliber carbine manufactured by CMMG. With a receiver crafted from billet 7075 aluminum, the Guard features CMMG’s Radial Delayed blowback action. Noted by a CMMG rep to be the US answer to H&K’s roller delayed blowback action, Radial Delayed Blowback utilizes a bolt that forced to rotate and unlock from the chamber upon firing, slowing the carrier group enough to safely cycle. This unique action allows for a lighter bolt carrier group and buffer than would traditionally be required for pistol-caliber AR pattern weapons, and also reduces felt recoil.
The Guard is designed to accept Glock magazines, and is available in both 9mm and .45 ACP.

SSD,
Did you get your hands on it? Shoot it?
Was the Manual of Arms similar/disimilar to its bigger brothers or is this rifle more of a cousin?
It operates virtually the same as any AR. The mag release button is much wider, and a bit recessed when compared to a stock release, so it took a bit of fumbling to drop the mag.
