MDM 18 – ESSTAC

This is the first time Washington-based esstac has exhibited at Modern Day Marine. This tactical nylon manufacturer started life in a basement in the late-90s as Essential Tactical and has grown to more than 20 employees.

Right now, their most popular product is the Mid-length M4 KIWI Pouch. It is made from 1000D Cordura and incorporates PALS webbing on the front and back to accommodate different attachment systems. Additionally, the interior of the pouch has a Kydex insert to keep the magazine in place until it’s needed.

    Esstac is great.

I used a load bearing boar my last few years in the service. Great kit for anyone who has to change loadouts fairly regularly. It meant I didnt need two different kits for m4 & m14.

Kiwi pouches rock. No retention flaps, just quick loading and excellent retention of magazines.

I custom ordered m1 carbine mag pouches from them (not for any practical reason) and they gleefully obliged my absurd request.

They’re a great bunch of folks up there.

Will they work with the gen3 Pmags? My TT pouches are pretty much useless with the over insertion tab on the Pmags.

Yup they will work the the gen3 pmags. Have one on my exterior carrier. Good stuff like everyone else said.
