NRAAM 19 – Trijicon Launches 1-8×28 Variable Combat Optical Gunsite

There’s lots of info on the web about the new Specialize Reflex Optic, but no one is talking about the latest variant of the VCOG.

At the 2019 NRAAM Trijicon has launched a 1-8×28 version of the VCOG. It features a first focal plane, variable intensity illuminated reticle (powered by AA battery) with a constant 4 inches of eye relief. The reticle incorporates bullet drop compensation and ranging.

There is also an integrated mounting adapter and throw lever for quick magnification changes.

Woooof that msrp. Hope street price gets right under 2k at least, like with the 1-6x.

  2. Greg K says:

I always advocated for a standard 3-9x combat variable, sighting the fall of shot at 2-300 yards is a good thing, this is nearly ideal cept the price tag, yikes!

  3. Alex says:

I hope the reticle is thinner than the one found on the 1-8x Accupower.

  4. DangerMouse says:

I manhandled their other 1-8×28. It’s legit. If I had the cash I’d definitely like to get one of these.

  5. Rob says:

They really need to get a better reticle.

  6. PTMcCain says:

I hope they will offer more reticle selections like they do with the VCOG 1-6, and … this puppy weighs in at nearly two pounds *without* mount or battery. Yikes.
