There are so many things that can and will go wrong with these. Forefoot material, laces, ………keep your receipt
You might be able to infil but the exfil will not go well.
The BOA system is really good. Been using boots with this closure system in a busy Fire/EMS dept. for years now.
Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
I had a pair of UA Valsetz boots come apart on me with very little wear…they replaced them but and the second pair fell apart even quicker… UA customer service told me to pound sand….never again, buyer beware
Buy shoes from shoe companies.
By clothes from clothing companies.
UA makes some of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn, they feel like wearing marshmellows…unfortunately they fall apart like they’re made of the same. I literally had a pair that the very first time I went to pull them on, the heel loop came off in my hand. Right out of the box. The store replaced them, but the other pair was falling apart weeks later.
For this kind of lacing system and based on some of the not-so great feedback with UA shoes – Salomon is my preferred and go-to brand
I have two pairs of these. They are really comfortable and the BOA (wire lace) is really nice for putting them on and off quickly. The best part about the BOA is that you can tighten or loosen them as you see fit. So if you are just sitting around you can wear them loose, and before to go you can quickly tighten them. The wire also has a little catch at the bottom in case the wire breaks on one side it will still tighten. They also have eyelettes in case you need to wear regular laces with them. I have had one pair for about 3 years now and have had no issues with them. I have worn them for all kinds of different events to include every day walking around, in the rain ( they do dry relatively quickly ), hiking and at the shooting range. They are really comfortable and have lasted through a lot of harsh wear and tear. I recommend them.
