Can they show how it attaches? Is it strips of double sided velcro? A drawstring? Or elastic? If it’s the latter 2, there’s no way it’s worth anywhere near $50. Even if it is the first, it doesn’t come with any sort of scrim kit? Just having the right look and feel of a WW2 net doesn’t cut it. This was a field expedient item in its hayday and the price point doesn’t reflect that. I’m not one to complain over the price of everything but this is just one of those things that makes you double take.

Obsolete. With MRAP’s, Strykers etc. it is impractical to say the least. Getting in and out a vehicle and that net will snag on every knob and doohickey bolted on the inside. No thanks!

  3. Jim says:

This is still a’thing’ with our, Brit, paras. Scrim is still a requirement in most infantry regts as well.

I’ve not looked at the price but you can pick up scrim nets over here for a couple of pounds…Sterling

  4. George says:

Like Jim said us brits have been scrim our helmets for years, have a look at spectre military in the uk they have scrim and attachment for £12.50 (dont know cost of p+p)

I can’t speak to the product or relearning that in spite of thermals visual camouflage is something you apply not buy, but that OD looks black over Multicam, should have gone Coyote or better yet Tan 499. Or is there Multi-string I don’t know about?

I applaud the creativity but not so much the price for what it is.
