Is this really the height of cold weather over boot design in 2020? It’s hard to believe with all the effort that went into laying out our cold weather boot requirements, providing design examples and transferable uses we continue to fail to move .mil cold weather boot tech forward.
Other than being presumably FR, what do these offer that other overboots don’t? Definitely not wind or water proof, and has nifty loose cords to get stuck on things. It looks like maybe they can fold up and fit in a cargo pocket?
Do remember that they do not need to be waterproof, at -20/30c, no water will remain liquid. Case in point, none of the legendary Canada Goose jackets are actually waterproof
