Black Diamond Equipment – FLUX Merino T-Shirt

Black Diamond’s Flux Merino Wool T-Shirt is now available in Tundra, a green color.

It’s made from their Nuyarn merino wool technology, which dries five times faster than standard merino, while providing 35% more stretch, all with merino wool’s natural odor-resistant qualities.

In the words of McLemore, “yo, that’s $80 for a t-shirt!”

For everyone else that’s not making O7 pay, I recommend going to
jiffyshirts.com and looking up Soffe Adult Unisex Dri Release Short Sleeve. They have it in tan 499 for $6 each in some of the highest performance fabric you can find for a t-shirt

That’s nice, but it’s not Merino.

      • Joe says:

Looked it up, it’s 57 percent nylon and 43 percent merino, so yeah that’s expensive for what you’re getting.

    • GANDIS says:

Looked up what you said, there’s nothing there by soffe by that Nomenclature. Nothing for men, dri release, or tan 499

$85 fucking dollar t-shit? I think even Kanye sells his cheaper!

Look, if you’re mission profile does not require the highly specialized set of requirements that this purpose-built exemplar of gear…blah blah blah…yeah it’s a bit much. LOL

But then again if you’e familiar with the Arcteryx Pelion t-shirt, then this is right up your alley.

What I don’t get about this website, is how everyone assumes armed professionals are able to drop $80 for a t-shirt, when the pay is usually barely over minimum wage.

if a professional warrior does have an $80 t-shirt it’s usually because Uncle Sam paid the bill and he doesn’t look at Price tag,s when shopping for operators.

        • SSD says:

People don’t come to SSD to see cheap stuff. They come here to see innovation. In the case of the shirt in question, it wasn’t made for the armed professional, but some of them are going to wear it anyway.

Do you feel the same about optics? Ammo? Weapon accessories? Cheap is just as good?

How many carpenters do you know that show up to a job and just use whatever is laying around? There’s a cost to being a professional. If you’re not, cheaper than dirt and Walmart can probably take care of your needs.
