The M-Pact Agilite Edition was the result of a collaboration between Agilite, Israel’s top tactical gear company and Mechanix Wear, the world leader in tactical hand protection. They teamed up back in 2017 to develop a unique glove that meets the needs of Israeli Tier 1 SOF who wanted the best of all worlds, the protection of a Mechanix M-Pact Covert glove but the tactile capabilities of a fingerless glove.
Agilite’s distribution company (Agilite Ergonomics Ltd.) and Mechanix partner since 2015 worked closely with Israel Police and Army SOF units as well as IDF Ground Forces Command who were looking for a hybrid tactical glove with just three fingers exposed and other unique features for better performance.
The MPACT Agilite edition has already been issued unit-wide in several Israeli Army and Police SOF units in both Multicam and Black but has not been available commercially in black till now.
It is available exclusively from Agilite and its distributors-see more here: agilitegear.com/products/mechanix-m-pact-agilite-edition
So is it a hallmark of a well made glove to require missing fingers?
‘Tier 1’ User: “so unlike your other crap gloves I want to be able to use things with my fingers”
Mechanix: “no problem, we are an expert glove manufacturer, we have the most advanced 3d finger modelling, specialist stitching, touch screen compatible… ah screw it, we’ll just cut the fingers and label it ‘Tier 1 Designed’, thoughts?”
‘Tier 1’ User: “Take my money”
It’s not 1995… buy some PiG gloves and keep all the fingers on already. Over here looking like Bennett from Commando. Do these come with a bonus chain mail singlet?
I mean, even if you really want that trigger finger dexterity, what’s wrong with a pair of scissors?
Let off some steam Bennett!
