Genius or Crazy?

This image of a modified Air Force Female Service Dress Blouse has been making the rounds on social media. The intent was obvious. Without garter straps connecting the hem of the shirt to the socks, the shirt will invariably come untucked. I find the modification ingenious, but many have called it crazy.

What say you?

I’ll play. I HATED the garters so I like the concept. But the downside of somehow being caught wearing that would guarantee I wouldn’t.

BUT what’re you doing about your BMI? Maybe sew in a horizontal band as well?

    Here’s an old DI tip:
Tuck your t-shirt into your underwear then tuck your shirt into your pants.
… but you Air Farce & Naby boyz are kinda sPeCiAl ?

That’s how I was trained in Air Force BMT circa 2002… that combined with garters made for a crisp package. Right up until one of the garters pops loose and snaps you in the nuts…

I never used the garter/sock thing. I used the “be aware of your surroundings and re-tuck as necessary” thing.

In military school I used to use the straps but stopped using them because they would get caught on my leg hair. I started using one of those rubber inner belts (the nubby ones they sell to LE)- That worked great for keeping my shirt tucked in nicely.
