BOISE, Id. January 19, 2024 – PWS (Primary Weapons Systems) is proud to announce the launch of its newest product, the UXR (User Xchange Rifle). This rifle allows for revolutionary, unparalleled modularity. Initially available early 2024 in 5.56 and 300 BLK variations, the UXR platform will also be available in .308 and 8.6 BLK configurations later this year.
The true innovation in the UXR platform lies in the patent-pending Xchange system. The upper receiver of the UXR is the only serialized part of the setup, enabling the shooter to easily transition from configuration to configuration, caliber to caliber. The UXR also features an incomparable look and feel – combining functionality, ergonomics, and aesthetics into one platform. Adaptability is the core principle of the UXR, showcased in its many customizable features such as an adjustable buttstock that can fold left or right, an adjustable cheek plate, and ambidextrous-able selector switch, magazine release and even the charging handle. The UXR platform also features a proprietary internal operation, or a “modified long-stroke piston system”, allowing the rifle to adapt and perform flawlessly with any UXR barrels regardless of caliber. This allows the user to swap calibers and barrels without needing to adjust the gas system each and every time. The newly designed Bore Evacuator reduces back pressure, especially when a suppressor is being used, making the UXR the perfect platform for suppressed shooting.

3 Screws to clamp the barrel already seems better than all of the others, from SCAR to XCR to SIGs . Lets hope theres smth finaly worth buying again.
I saw a video pop up on youtune about it with the designer. It sure is interesting and I am curious about the bore evacuator and its use with suppressors. If I remember right Gemtech tried that with their SUR bid some years back. Seemed like an interesting idea. $500 for the converstion kits seems also very fair compared to other offerings.
This looks really unimpressive. Uber modularity never worked well with any gun and has no real world application, but I might not be the intended customer here. Plus, my personal PWS Mk111 just had another piston part breaking… PWS, please. You make nice ARs, just make em a bit more HK quality and you’ll be fine.
I guess I would say that I’m surprised no one sees the obvious here… but gun people aren’t the absolute sharpest.
That design is set up for a bullpup conversion.
One long extruded upper, the stock attached to the grip, the mag, grip, and mag to rail transition peace all separate parts.
They have it in CAD, if not shown next week.
