One of the many cool firearms behind the closed doors in the Geissele Automatics booth at SHOT was the Geissele Fighting Weapon or GFW.
Although this example is chambered for 5.56 NATO, a 300 BLK version is also available. It fires at 800-850 RPM suppressed and 700 rpm unsuppressed.
Two things stand out with this gun. First, the two stage stock which offers a full length cheekweld and does not impinge on the controls when fully collapsed.
Second, despite its 8″ barrel, it requires no booster like a Krinkov.
Not sure what to make of that name. Of course it is.
“Second, despite its 8? barrel, it requires no booster like a Krinkov.”
How exactly does that make the rifle stand out from any other short barreled AR, Rattler, etc? More than a few sub 10″ rifles out there that don’t need a booster.
A non-adjustable gas block & no booster would make it pretty stand out for a 8.5″ DI 5.56. The stock is also unique.
Wow that is very very ugly. The loss of aesthetics continue in the gun world. As much as I don’t like SIG and Q, they make good looking guns.
i don’t know anyone who went on a raid thinking “i hope my gun looks good, i worry about the loss of aesthetics in the gun world.”
never fear! you can reverse gucci your guns to your hearts content; peniflage camo and strike industries colored parts are calling your name.

Just another version of the MI^. A different stock and a fancy mane. I thought our old 16’s were ‘fighting weapons”.
