Don’t Miss Out On Soldier Systems Digest

Soldier Systems Digest is our weekly newsletter. It comes out each Monday morning and contains information we don’t share on the website like our weekly DoD contract round up.

We also don’t spam you with unwanted advertising emails despite it being an option at sign-up. We don’t sell our list and we’ve never engaged with emails based solely on advertising. However, full disclosure, the Digest does sometimes contain information about our advertisers.

Don’t miss out, sign up now.

This is Literally the worst fucking rucksack on earth. The Frame ribs seperate from the pack when loaded and the square part of the frame will rub the skin by your spinal erectors down to the white meat in under 45 minutes of wear. The army and airborne community obviously has special interests inside. I can’t see how this item is anything but detrimental to the poor idiot who thinks he’s going to be able to jump this thing, sustain himself and effectively execute a follow on mission.

Is your issue with the pack or the frame? Sounds like the frame. Not to be a dick but the DEI-1606MC which is the frame in the picture has been jumped a LOT and has survived, sure some of them break from time to time but good old Alice frames used to get smashed up on jumps all the time as well.

I’ve never had that issue but I can imagine some people with specific spine shapes, especially people with scoliosis or kyphosis potentially could have that issue. Sounds really painful, I suggest you swap your frame with other compatible frames like PALICE or DG16 before getting spinal damage.

I personally love the Molle 4000 rucksack. In terms of ergonomics, it is better for rucking. The previous Molle ruck was basically a square on your back. The Molle 4k is more narrow and taller, allowing you to pack your ruck so the heavier items are on top.

The bag to frame connection feels more secure and tight compared to my previous issued ruck. I also like the pouches on the outside.
