Now, a little about the SG9 Enhanced Magazine Release (comes preinstalled on the EHG SG9 grips) which is also available as an aftermarket part; it’s installed in seconds, features a durable QPQ finish, and is reversible for left- and right-handed shooters.
The Magpul EHG SG9 SIG P320 grips released in black last week with FDE showing up on their site this week.
Maybe Magpul can reverse engineer an Sig P320 trigger that won’t allow it to be shot while holstered.
I thought the P320 would fire when dropped with sufficient impact force.
There were definitely issues with 320’s not being drop safe a few years ago, but I’m pretty sure a significant number of ND’s lately have been “holstered” 320’s.
The CANSOF incident was notable, but I’m pretty sure that was adjudicated as operator/training error. I don’t remember what holster was being used but I want to say Serpa for some reason.
The most recent (that I’m aware of) holstered 320 discharge was the Montville PD event from last year, where a fully seated and secured P320 discharged inside of a Safariland ALS/SLS duty holster, after being lightly tapped on the extended magazine by a separate officer during movement of a detailed individual.
