The ubiquitous government issue Skilcraft pen has been around since 1968. Even after switching over the Air Force, I always got the Black ones but apparently they came in Blue as well.
If you really miss them, they are available on Amazon. You can even buy the Blue ones there.
And gloss black or matte black finishes as well. I swear I remember seeing a red one too.
Red ones definitely exist, but they are far less common. If I remember correctly, the difference between the matte and gloss finish black pens is that the matte finish pens were made of recycled plastic.
I have the black pens from 2008 still, these are identical and I give them away as gifts to Veterans.
