I remember first seeing Lundhags Ski March boots in the 80s-era Survival Aids catalogs from the UK. Lessons from the Falkland campaign were still fresh in their minds and keeping feet dry in cold-wet conditions was a particular onsession considering the unsuitability of issue footwear.
Lundhags still offers the same style of boot, slightly updated over the years. There are versions for 75mm bindings as well as for 87-91mm. In either case, they feature a Goodwell Ski Sole, Rubber Lowers incorporating EVA construction and TPU Plastic Toe Cap as well as Laced Leather Uppers with removable 5mm Wool Felt Linings. The last is designed so as to accommodate an additional layer of socks.

Never tried this boot, so I can’t speak of it’s performance or durability but based on the proverbial book over…damn that’s fugly!
It looks like a Frankenstein boot…ya know, made from a few other boots and then just stitched together.
Whatever happened to function of form?
Isn’t that why you buy non-issue gear, to have better performance/comfort?
It is a great boot, get it a size or so bigger and add a sorel linear and its the best boot out there. the one in the picture is for skying but they make them with out that toe or you just grind it off
Next time you see Ray Mears on TV, look closely as his footwear…. He almost always wears Lundhags. They’re kick-ass boots.
I have no reason to doubt that, just goin by first impressions. BUT, I did go to the website and yes, they do have a nice selection of some really good lookin boots!

I have used these boots extensively during my service i a norwegian SR unit.
They are great boots! super warm with the inner wool liner and a very stabile ski boot for downhill riding.
remember some moisture-blocking sock for the super cold temps and you are good to go.
I had the 90mm version issued but if i had a choice i would go for a 75mm boot and binding.
the inner wool liner also makes a good slipper when not using the boot 😉
btw, we also had the Lundhags professional issued and that boot is of a very different construction than this ski boot..
These look amazing. I’m betting much more comfortable than American Mickey Mouse boots. What did you use for a vapor barrier liner? Was it issued to you?
I used the expend VBL but a lot of guys just used plastic bags or a neoprene sock..
