   You mean the “Tilley Hat”? Yeah, looking at two of them already on my hat rack, one in green, and one in brown…

   It looks like the hat they forced nearly every school kid in Australia to wear during lunch break whilst playing on the sports field!

   I had that same hat, albeit in tan, from Banana Republic in the early ’80s. What’s old is new again . . .

   Is this also not made in the States like the other fabric goods? My Multicam Tilley is made in Canada and comes with a pretty crazy warranty so it will be hard to get me to switch.

           Two variants. The one I have is like the rover there is another without the snap sides and mesh at the top. Mine came from Cabelas.

           I look forward to checking the Magpul soft goods out in person. I like the look of the ranch gloves.

   The Rover hat is technically a “Boonie Slouch” hat. It is based upon an original Slouch hat design as worn by Roosevelt’s Rough Riders but buttoned up both sides like a Boonie cover. The material is traditional heavy waxed canvas with a modern sweat band.

     Thanks for that info Magpul, I plan to buy one when they are released
