ARMORVENT is the most effective body armor ventilation and load distribution device available, according to the manufacturer.
Engineered to improve comfort, ARMORVENT easily attaches to military and law enforcement body armor carriers. ARMORVENT controls the levels of moisture on the skin by promoting evaporation of sweat and natural ventilation of the hot, moist air typically trapped between your body armor and torso.
ARMORVENT creates a cooling effect in warm weather while working to maintain a dry feeling between the body armor and the skin during cold weather.

Looks bit like CORTAC CTAV?
a bit… its identical… its just a little different shape and have more holes..
Judge for yourself: http://www.cortac.com/ctav/
Interesting – it’s the same guy who started Cortac – Thought he sold that or licensed that to Safariland…..

Thanks for this bit of information.
yeah, good concept until you think about a fat guy sitting on a lawn chair.
Depends on the material and what you’re wearing in my opinion. Contrast fat guy wearing shorts in a plastic lawn chair with wearing khakis and sitting on one of those beaded seat covers in a car on a hot day. The latter is definitely better lol.
I loved my CTAV (until it was stolen along with my vest). If this is like the CTAV, as it appears to be, it will work pretty good.
Hoff, shoot us an email and we’ll get you an ARMORVENT. cs@armorvent.com
Looks neat. Anyone used it or can you find any reviews? My google-fu is failing.
We also tried ribbed shirts years ago, guess what, 120 in the Middle East, it doesn’t help and just pushes weight further away from the body. One day we will skin this cat. But this isn’t it.
I wonder how this would work as a back panel for a pack?
Same I asked with the CorTac, could be a good add-on for camera packs
This is identical to Tac Vent. http://www.lapolicegear.com/tacv-vent.html
Wow how many knockoff will people make ? Copying the original TacVent invention of a real Swat officer.
I went and checked out the product link. Do you have a link to his patent so I can check his claims? It looks to be a rigid insert and I believe was actually done awhile back by one or more armor companies in that configuration.
This and the AV are stupid. Maybe AV didn’t get a clue when we told them “no” and didn’t even want to keep the sample. I fact, I think we told them it would be a good insert for the Coast Guard. And I guess later it wasn’t clear when they failed to peddle it on Shark Tank.
It would be a safe assumption to say that AV has given away more samples than they sold.
As for IP, this concept has been played with armor companies for over 12 years.
But hey, what would you expect from some dude who admittedly rarely wore full kit.
Go whine somewhere else Jason.
As the only one to post who has actually worn both the CTAV and Armorvent, I at least have an informed opinion. The AV does work as described and is much lighter and forms to the armor and or plate better. I have worn both on concealable armor, as well as plate carrier/heavy armor.
