I’m having flashbacks to their NyClad ammo from ten plus years ago. Huh.
MSRP of 40 cents per round for training ammo. That’s $400 for a case of 1K. Ah… no.
I’d wait to see what the real street price is before I took the MSRP as being meaningful.
Well I wished they could have colored these bullets a different color. These are very similar to training rounds .

Really, shoot more at those prices, I’ll stick with the 9mm Federal aluminum case from Wal Mart at $9.97 per 50.
For real.
They tout “extended barrel life” as an advantage, but you can shoot like 100,000 rounds out of a pistol barrel before its dead.
At 20 bucks a box, so 400 bucks per 1k rounds, you are paying essentially double what normal 9mm ball costs.
Hell, at that price, you could buy 1k of regular brass case and a brand new barrel every time you bought 1000 rounds.
Cheaper to shoot ANYTHING else and then just buy a replacement barrel after thousands and thousands… and thousands of rounds it takes to wear-out a barrel.

I think SWAT524 hit it on the head, the coloring made me first think simunition style round.. only positive I could see would be a new range using it to prevent lead build up on an indoor range, but other than that would be cost prohibitive in the long run, especially after the range adds their profit on the “range ammo” -or- if you live in a communist state that wants to add taxes to ammunition. IF this was a low velocity round like the ol’ 9mm training rounds the Army used to use, it could have a niche market, but that’s not what this advertisement is saying.
reminds me of Herter’s aluminum case ammo, except those are blue. Only used one box of those so can’t really say much about the claims.

Just what the market needed another premium priced, ill thought out, ammunition gimmick that nobody was actually asking for.

Are these lead free or lead wrapped polymer?
Isn’t egglestone selling polymer jacketed bullets for this purpose but at a price point that actually makes sense? Pretty sure they even provide load data so you can do this yourself.
When I can get 1k rds of 9mm tula for 190.00 shipped, I’ll pass.
Basically this sounds like Bayou bullets loaded on top of CFE Pistol powder. I have shot tens of thousands of those already and my pistols love them, but I like the idea that they’re manufacturing and marketing these. I’ll shoot my reloads for 1/10 of this price but I think It’s a good idea.
Am I the only one that thinks that these are not meant for individual purchase and are meant more for Gun Range ammo? I mean, wouldn’t these degrade the backstop on a range, and cause less damage to walls of range when casual shooters don’t hit their targets? Also less lead in the air makes air filter replacements less often.
