    Good looking jeep, and for a very good cause. I wonder though if a 3.6 liter would be anemic with the added weight of the 40in tires. Anyone have any insight on this?

      US Factory 4WDs come with small engines because dumb people roll them and sue the manufacturers (and by extension, fellow owners).

      Toyota Tacomas come with comparable drivetrains (in HP and the more important measurement of torque)–and heavier chassis.

      Depending on the state (and where the owner expects to drive it) a swap could be practical. High-displacement (and ALWAYS higher torque) diesels are popular among those who like to set money on fire just because.

      Mortals like myself just buy 25 year old chassis and put whatever we want in them. Even in the land of the 10-round mag, I can aspirate a short-block crate anyhow I like…

      Yes, terrible.

      The 3.6L is better than the older 3.8, and better than 2002+ 4.0L, but still not nearly appropriate for 40s regardless of axle ratio.

      Gearing is very important in regards to tire size, and the added weight of all the bolt on parts also impact the strain on the drive train; also putting a dent in the payload. With those factors, that engine is severing lacking in power and torque. The least that could have been done is intake, exhaust, and custom tunes.

    Garbage jeep. This is easily the least classy Jeep they could have done. Everything about this says “I’m a white trash redneck who owns 15 ARs but has never taken a formal class in my life! Let’s go shoot garbage out in the woods!”

    I’m looking at a DPMS Racegun in jeep/gun crossover terms. Gross.
