These photos were found on Facebook the other day and depict a Toyota 4-Runner mod by Red Skull Garage. I kind of like the Camo pattern but I’m really loving the finish it was applied to.

Toyota Prado… so 4Runner cousin
Actually it’s specifically a Prado 120, which the 4Runner only uses the frame from, so the 4Runner is actually the weird cousin of the Prado, not the other way round. I say this as a 5th Gen 4Runner owner.
Damn, go easy on our SSD brother. He doesn’t live over seas, lol.
It looks like it was applied onto Line-X.
That’s what it looks like to me.
red Skull…. Hail Hydra!
I think STS wins the Toyota section since they gave their Tundra Lupus.

Awesome. Loving the steelies. Needs more BFGoodrich though.
Nah, this thing looks like it might actually be used offroad, not a show truck. I’d stick with those Coopers.
I love a good Prado.
Looks very nice! Like the camo pattern also.
Full linex jobs are becoming more popular but what many people do not realize is that once it’s done, it’s done. I tell them it’s not like a year down the road if you want to remove it and go back to your original color or do something different…it aint gonna happen!
If anyone reading this is contemplating Linex I suggest having it sprayed light texture in Premium. This gives you a slight satin gloss but also easier to clean all the dirt and bugs out from the nooks and crannies.
Great info! How much weight does it add?
It adds significant weight. I was detered from coating my truck because of the added weight vs. gain. I always come back to CARC……sweet sweet CARC.
There’s actually an older Mercedes out side of my building right now done in black linex.
It does not add much at all. For comparison a full spray on a Ford Raptor may only add under 200lbs.
People will worry about “added weight” yet add all kinds of tube steel guards all over!
I have Linex on my front Expedition grill and front and rear bumpers…stuff is bullet proof. Hell we even Linexed a Ferrari front intakes!
Keeping in mind that owner is from Russia, outcome is significant: huge amount of deicer is poured on roads in cities, and roads are full of stones. So it just basically preserves everything lower than three feet from the ground from rusting in the first two years.
The Red highlift jack is a dead giveaway ?
I think it looks very cool….. I could tell by looking at it, that it was not a 4Runner, but I could not tell what it was. So, just what is a Prado, as I’ve never heard of it in the US market? Is it a more capable off road vehicle than the current 4Runner?
This treatment would look pretty cool on an FJ too. Personally, I’m a Tundra driver.
I also found Dellis’s info very informative.
Look at the Lexus GX460, the older ones are based in this guy.
Big difference, it has the 4.7L V8, which is very rare in a 4Runner. G4 4Runners with the V8 command a pretty significant premium. They’re also full-time AWD.
Rad vehicles, tons of headroom for the tall guys, decent aftermarket support, available KDSS, they’re mini Land Cruisers.
GX470…fat fingers
Welcome… to Jurassic Park.
