Mayflower/Velocity Systems have been hard at work developing their jungle offerings.
Featuring Helium Whisper backers, a mix of materials for durability, top attaching points, Fastex buckles and Belcro closure, side PALS webbing, and side bungie securing loops (aka PLCE).
Parts yet to come: true canteen pouch, H-suspenders, belt, but pack, kidney pouches and 40mm hangers.
More excellent kit from Mayflower/VelSys! Looking forward to seeing these in person.
In case you don’t know how to Monday, this is how you Monday, great start to the day! Jungle Pouch, SWEET!
What’s old is new again. Any 11 or 03 Series Senior NCO should recognize his kit from when he was a Joe.
Does any one know what aluminum mug that is?
Good job Mayflower.
Thanks, it’s from Snowpeak.
Thanks MRC!
Is “Belcro” hook & pile tape appropriate for operating operationally in the jungles of Mindanao?
Considering the AFP has gear covered in it, I think the answer could very well be a resounding YES.
How long before that printed web turns white in a jungle AO?
I wonder if you can cram a stripped out MRE in the pouch sized for the Nalgene. Actually, if they had a pouch sized to hold a SADF 2 quart that would be really nice.
I used to carry stripped MRE’s in a saw pouch back in 90’s. This may sound strange but I still have cravings for omlet with ham and the beef stew.
I like the fact that its an OG Nalgene in the picture too.
I say! Good to see the US is catching up to the Commonwealth in terms of pouches.
