First militarized cops and now militarized hunters? I’m not sure when this will stop.

It will stop when Game/Conservation Officers/Agents start writing people tickets for not having enough hunter orange clothing on. In my state at least firearms deer seasons require a certain amount of the body to be covered in solid blaze orange.
Is this definitely for hunters? I see the dip, but pepper spray and handcuff pouch would suggest police use to me. I’m sure hunters want the cool gear too, either way.
I believe LBT is just marketing the belt kit the USAF cops started getting a few years back in multicam instead of UCP. That is what it looks like to me.
They have been one of the contractors in the past.
I, for one, applaud the efforts undertaken by these companies to translate what has been learned to the hunting and outdoor markets. I just wish, as is the case with many offerings, that they’d dispose of the Velcro. Can’t have Velcro on a hunt. May as well carry an air horn pouch too.
Velcro has no place on a combat uniform either.
Why?
Some of the stuff transfers over fairly well. As an example, I hunt with an AR-10 as it is versatile, addresses all of the game I’ll find in my area, and its a platform that I am familiar and comfortable with. I can see where having easy access to certain equipment, such as range finders, medical kit and maybe pistol magazines (if carry a handgun for personal protection) would be advantageous.
Hunting out of a stand I personally don’t see a need for this as all of my gear can be laid out and used as needed. If I was hunting from a small stand or perhaps tracking on the ground then yes. Goes back to mission driving the gear.
i didnt realize lbt owned the defensor fortis system. thats what this is, the best load bearing system i have ever used!
They were a subcontractor for it. Eagle made complete sets and I believe a third contractor made complete sets as well.
i live near eglin afb and can pick up used defensor fortis sets for less than 20 bucks. they are outstanding! i have three sets, all configured differently. i even use it for a construction belt. thats right, i got a crush on defensor fortis
