North Kingstown, RI – Emissive Energy Corporation, an industry leader in weapon mounted lighting products, debuts today the next generation of the WML and WMLx product lines. The new products continue to be lightweight and powerful as discovered with the original WML and WMLx Series, but with several new upgrades.
Extensively tested for performance, durability and reliability, customers won’t find a more dependable light on the market today. Incredibly powerful yet compact in size, the Gen2 WML and WMLx Series integrates with MIL-STD-1913/NAR rail and features a new reinforced polymer body which offers higher-impact resistance and durability. Patented heat dissipating vents provide improved LED thermal management and an ergonomic, contoured non-slip switch makes for easy on/off. There are three operating modes: constant, momentary and strobe (strobe is easily disabled) and the new products are waterproof up to 66 feet.
“With the new enhancements, all four Gen2 products offer brighter lumens and an all-inclusive rail clamping design that integrates seamlessly, providing simple, fast, mounting with no need for additional tools. The easy-to-operate lockout system ensures the light isn’t turned on until the operator is ready,” says Matthew S. Wolfe, Vice President of Emissive Energy Corporation. “We continually explore new ways to provide high-quality products and our new Gen2 products are no exception.“

Ive read too many reviews of them being fragile and breaking, give me Surfire or Elzetta
I’ve had yet to have one of their WML’s break on me, and I’ve beat the hell out of mine, in and out of vehicles and trunks, run hard through numerous courses, and a few thousand rounds through the rifle. The only issue I had was with the original APL mounting bracket, but they changed that, and it’s solid now. That’s just my experience with it brother.
They claim this revision upgrades the design and plastic of the body. I hope so, because the WMLx IR looks awesome.
I have had no issues with my WML for 3 years now. I can’t say the same for the Surefire torch I attempted to sub in over the same period. My M720V stopped functioning, initially via the cable switch and then at the main unit.
These improvements are great, definitely fixing the low lumen output on white is a step in the right direction.
Unfortunately, I think that honestly the X300V from Surefire now does it all better. Not only does it have comparative lumen output in a similar sized unit, it also has the option for a cable switch. This allows for true ambidextrous use. The benefit of the Inforce was always the simplicity and size vs a surefire V series, which were in their infancy at the time of the original WML release. The only thing really still going for the Inforce is the price point, which is still important but becoming less so.
I’d like to see Inforce release a cable switch variant of this torch, I definitely think there is a gap in the market for a lower price point cable operated small form factor high lumen White/IR torch. Currently the X300V is ticking all the right boxes and as a big bonus it can also be pistol mounted. It would appear there is no room to just upgrade the lumen output anymore, lets see some innovation!
There was a batch of models that had issues, and the warranty on all of them was honored by Inforce. I used one of these daily for two years to include a 7 month pump in OEF, and it had zero issues, I still have it today on one of my blasters.
Disclosure: I am a dealer, yes, but I have the ability to cancel a product line based on poor quality and have done it before in the past a few times. This product line was almost cancelled based on the faulty manufacturing a while back, but the willingness and speed at which they resolved the issues kept us on board with them. Their light are simple, bright, and they work reliably.

This is obviously from a press release. Please identify it as such to prevent people from calling it a glowing review.

It is marked as a press release.
Is an APL upgrade coming?
Looks great! I’m really hoping for an APL upgrade!
Diggin’ it.
I think a company with “Emissive” in its’ name that makes stuff for use in the dark has a moral imperative to produce a product called the “Nocturnal Emission.”
I have a box full of dead surefire lights / light accessories. They’re the Apple Computer of lights… nothing more.
Counterfeits from eBay maybe
Nope, they’re the real deal. For every 3-4 surefire lights, I have one that has died along the way, and a DG switch or 2.
If they’re the real deal, why don’t you use the warranty? They’ll fix or replace them.
That’s what I’m wondering.
“customers won’t find a more dependable light on the market today” Yeah right…
