Dark Storm Industries introduces the DS-10 Rifle in .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 16, 2017) – Dark Storm Industries, LLC, a New York based firearms manufacturer, is proud to introduce its newest offering in our line of Modern Sporting Rifles. Founded in 2013, Dark Storm Industries developed the DSI line of rifles to meet the ever-changing regulatory environment in states like New York and California. The DS-10 is the evolution of our DS-15 series of rifles. The DS-10 will be offered in the venerable .308 Winchester as well as the super-hot 6.5 Creedmoor.

Complete rifles are available in three models to match our already existing DS-15 line. All DS-10 rifles feature billet upper and lower receivers, mil-spec buffer tubes and a mid-length direct impingement gas system. The MOE® model includes an 18” HBAR barrel, Magpul MOE® stock, Magpul MOE® pistol grip and Magpul M-LOK forearm. The Typhoon adds a billet ambidextrous safety, tactical charging handle, Hogue® rubberized grip, Magpul CTR® and 15” DSI ultra-light free-float M-LOK handguard.

Both the MOE® and Typhoon, feature nitride barrels for extended barrel life and sub-MOA accuracy. The Lightning model features a Troy Industries Alpha® 15” Battle Rail, upgrades the barrel to 416-Stainless steel and the bolt carrier group to one that has been Nickel-Boron coated. All three models are available in three distinct configurations to offer a solution regardless of where you may live. Those living in free states, can enjoy our standard configuration with a detachable 20 round Magpul PMAG®. The DS-10 featureless rifle is designed for those looking for a detachable magazine rifle in a state like California or New York. This configuration includes a non-threaded barrel, 10 round Magpul PMAG® and Thordsen FRS (Fixed Rifle Stock). The DS-10 fixed magazine rifles utilize our patented FX series lower receiver which consists of a non-detachable, yet serviceable, magazine to comply with state prohibitions on rifles with certain features with a detachable magazine such as California, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

MSRP for the DS-10 is $1195.00 – $1545.00 depending on model, color, and caliber. Trigger upgrades are offered on all our DS-10 and DS-15 rifles, the 4LB Drop-In trigger is priced at $100 as an upgrade to any rifle. (normal MSRP $169.95)

Dark Storm Industries will have a variety of DS-10, DS-15 and DS-9 rifles on display at Shot Show booth # 8507 as well as available for test firing at Industry Day at the Range in lane LR12.

Adjusting to illegal and unreasonable regulations imboldens legislators and encourages their subjects to continue their desperate attempts to accommodate the increasingly more ridiculous gun laws. Quit pandering. Quit compromising. The people responsible for this want nothing else than the total disarming of America and pretending that this nonsense is anything else just advances the disarmament agenda. I hate it for the people that can’t leave or make their voices heard, but stop acting like these states have a chance. Shall not be infringed. Love sunshine and earthquakes or thin crust pizza? Get used to not having a rifle. Flame back cause it looks like the rest of America has had enough.

I don’t see it as pandering, I see it as coming up with creative solutions for getting around the stupid laws that keep on getting passed. It’s true that the antis want to get rid of our guns, but coming up with ways of making featureless builds, bullet buttons, improved bullet buttons are ways are of going around their stupid laws and shows them that for every stupid law they come with thinking to disarm us manufacturers will come up with creative solutions to go around them to continue to allow us to get our guns. It shows the antis that we won’t give up and nothing short of an outright ban will keep guns out the hands of lawful citizens who want them.

Personally, as someone living in CA I’m glad that manufacturers are willing to work around these stupid laws and not give in to the wishes of the antis and deny us our guns. This is what the antis hope for, they hope that if they can get enough restrictive, and not to mention illegal, laws passed that they can create a de facto ban that will, in the long run, get rid of all privately owned guns.

Putting a bunch of strain on a part of the receiver that was never intented to handle it isn’t creative, it’s poor engineering for the sake of appeasing the unappeasible. Showing that gun owners can get around laws with technicalities simply delays the debates that should’ve already been had. That the voters and people from these states who respond don’t seem to get this is the problem. Especially in the middle of what is likely the best chance we’ll ever have of reclaiming what’s already been lost. Meanwhile, these companies are being good idea fairies to states that haven’t jumped the shark on their own yet. But hey, if it makes you feel good…
