Dear SSD – Can You ID This Pack?

An SSD reader, who also happens to be an Aggie, sent us this photo and wanted to know the make and model.

IMG_2425

He thinks it might be a variant of the Proper Medic pack, but this member of the US Army’s The Old Guard seems to be using it for K9 purposes. Interstingly, there’s a tag on the side, but unfortunately, the photo isn’t high enough resolution to read it.

Since we have the greatest readership the world over, we thought one of you might know the exact model.

Looks like a huge M9 medic bag, so I’m guessing it’s the Proppee UC (User Configurable) pack, which happens to look like a huge M9.

The UC pack is close, there are some major visible differences.

While I appreciate the price point of the Propper bags, they seem to ALL be copied from elsewhere.

This bag model was likely the “source material”.

  3. Flight Medic says:

Its the M10, the upgraded version (larger)

Could it be an ATS Cobra pack?

This is what AFSFC/Army Vet gave for USAF SF kennels to buy for deployments:

You nailed it! I spent about an hour trying to figure this one out, but that’s definitely it. No clear picture of the pack in the provided link but the shape, compartment layout, side PALS, compression straps, zipper pulls, top pocket, carry handle, and tag location are all the same as in the pic SSD provided.

Considering there is a Kong toy, muzzle, and leash on the table, I would say you are correct.

      • Jack says:

It is the JACS System by HPUSA. This is most likely one made for GCS. I think GCS is now making there own vision.

    • Matthew Kime says:

Yep. That’s it. Any info on who supplies that bag?

  7. TMedina says:

Do we have any more details on the photo? When or where it was taken? Context?

Might be able to find more details, or better pictures to make a determination.

  8. SOARescue says:

With a fair amount of certainty, I can say that is an Honorpoint bag. It’s very similar to the UC bag or the Corpsman Assault Pack from propper.

https://honorpointusa.com/ I don’t believe they have the pack listed on the main site anymore. Hope this is of help.

    • Oneoops31 says:

I am sitting in front of one it is the Jacks Handlers Bag from Honorpioint USA.

  9. MtDoc says:

It really looks like the Boundtree Tactical Med Pack XL.
Super heavy, we turned ours in .

  10. Steve says:

Regardless of the type of pack, I’m disappointed that this display was incorrectly identified as a K9 demo. Its obviously a man-portable, tactical BDSM kit.

    Jansport?

Looks similar to the LBX Titan 3 MAP bag.
