Readyman – EDC Belt Sleeve

Readyman’s EDC Sleeve is one of things you see and say, “why didn’t I think of that?”.

Not everyone runs around with a fully kitted plate carrier or warbelt on. Instead, we deal with day-to-day issues with whatever we have on hand. For many, this means their Every Day Carry includes more items than the average person, often in specialized gear. On the othr hand, the EDC Belt Sleeve allows you to add commonly needed gear to your trouser belt with ease. Additionally, the items sit close and parallel to the belt, resulting in a low profile. Finally, it’s stretchy, so it will hold most items secure, despite not having a flap.

I’ll have to give it a try, but I think they may be on to something here. I’ve been running horizontal kydex pouches for some time now, and I’ve always wanted to get my flashlight out of my pocket as well.

I’m on the same page about the flashlight. It was either find a way to mount elsewhere or to get a slim, pen style light.

Looks like a handy way to carry most things without a proprietary “holder.” Nice work guys!

I’ve used the blue force gear belt pouches, with the velcro wrap removed, mounted horizontal on my belt for light or knife. It was always a chore to get it on the belt AND in the right spot because the ultracomp backing was tough to fit through a loop . It worked great once setup though. This looks like the same idea but much easier to get on since it’s a thinner profile.

I *DID* think of these…about 15 years ago. Have been using them for a 2 cell SureFire light like Mas Ayoob’s kydex horizontal pouch. Who knew I could have been famous.

Rigger/Ranger bands do the trick and are cheap

Armordillo Concealment has been selling these for a while now, and Stealth Gear has for a couple months. I prefer the Stealth Gear because it’s a bit longer – enough to cover the open end of a G19 magazine unlike the AC.

Just so you know, clicking that link just keeps bringing me back to this page instead of the ReadyMan website.

ummmmm….Stealth Gear did think of this first. Unless they are making it for Ready Man…

Not sure who came up with the idea originally, but Armordillo Concealment was the first I’ve seen making these. I used a Safariland leather horizontal mag holder for many years before switching to the Armordillo and then Stealth Gear version of the belt sleeve.

  9. I’ve been running a FlipBelt for a few years now to accomplish the same purpose, but this looks like a way better idea. Especially since FlipBelt wasn’t designed for EDC applications. Def going to pick one up.
