1.7 billion allocated? At a high cost of $1,000 a unit that is still 177,000 rifles. Where are all those going?
Does anyone legitimately know what exactly is meant by “modification (P00009) to contract W15QKN-15-D-0072 for M4 and M4A1 carbines”?
Is this literally weapons modifications (M4 to M4A1 mod) or an augmentation of a preexisting contract for X number of carbines to now reflect a greater number?
Or something else all together?
It’s the number of the modification to the basic contract. P00008 and P00009 just refer to the 8th and 9th mods to their respective contracts.
