Federal Resources Awarded $985M Contract for Fire and Emergency Services Equipment from Defense Logistics Agency

Stevensville, MD (March 29, 2019) – The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) announced on March 22, 2019 that Federal Resources has been named one of six awardees under a re-compete contract to supply fire and emergency services equipment to U.S. service branches. The Fire and Emergency Services Equipment (FESE) contract is a firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that contains two base years and three one-year options with a ceiling amount of $985 million dollars.

Federal Resources held a spot as an awardee on the previous FESE contract and was named a SILVER Superior Supplier by the DLA in 2015. Similar to its predecessor, this contract will cover fire and emergency equipment, incidental services and related supplies including, but not limited to: hoses, hose fittings, nozzles, tools, fire extinguishers and other extinguishing agents, rescue equipment, respiratory protective devices, regulators, uniforms, turn out gear, first response and search and rescue supplies, decontamination equipment, detection equipment, hazardous material (HAZMAT), communication equipment, training equipment, compressors, emergency egress and protective systems, pumps, and generators.

“This award will allow us to continue expanding upon our mission to provide equipment and solutions that meet and exceed the requirements of the military and federal agencies,” said Larry Gwaltney, Federal Resources CEO. “As the threat climate makes the jobs of those on the front lines more difficult and dangerous, we are more committed now than ever to supporting their missions and providing the equipment and solutions to keep them safe from harm.”

Federal Resources is proud to continue its support of DLA and its customers through the next generation of the Fire & Emergency Services Equipment contract. For more information on Federal Resources’ contract and procurement solutions, please visit us at www.federalresources.com/contracts.
