Introducing the Samson Rapid Precision Mounts

Keene, NH – The Samson Rapid Precision Mounts (RPM) feature a lightweight design that won’t compromise durability or accuracy. Integrated into the clamp cross bolts are two steel recoil lugs to help eliminate scope base movement during heavy recoil to better maintain zero. The scope ring bases utilize threaded steel inserts to prevent the internal threads from being stripped by the ring cap screws, extending the lifespan of the rings if you decide to change out your optic. The RPM is the perfect mount for your favorite optic.

Samson is currently offering the RPM with a 30mm ring and 2″ offset at a retail price of $148.95. Additional ring sizes and offsets are planned for the future.

For more information, go to the RPM webpage.

15.2 Oz or .95 lbs, can that be right? Geissele weighs 7.1, Larue is 7. Surely its not that heavy. Adding a pound on that rifle is noticable.

I didn’t see an actual weight listed for the mount itself; the .95 ounces is listed as the shipping weight. I assume shipping weight is an estimate which includes packaging material. If the mount actually weighs that much, than yeah, that’s chonky.

There is a specifications tab on the site that lists actual product weights from 7-8 ounces.

i didn’t see that tab but that makes more sense. Given its size, shape, and materials, I could not figure out how it could weigh that much.
